Pictures of Seri court from Larry Elliott taken December 2009
My name is Larry Elliott, although I was called "LEE" while an "058" at the 5th RRU, Dec of 1962 to Dec of 1964. (The Thais had a real problem pronouncing Larry.)

I have seen your website and have conversed often with Gary Kay.  (He gave me your email and suggested I send some pics to you for your website.) In December I spent 3 weeks in Thailand and went in search of Seri Court.  I was having a beer at a restaurant across the street from where the Suzi Bar had been and engaged the proprietor in conversation.  She was really interested in the fact that I had been a soldier there those many years ago.  She said that when the troops left, Seri Court sat idle, was a hotel, sat idle and then abandoned.  She said it would be razed in a few months to make way for a condo development.  So I guess I made it just in time.  The caretakers wouldn't let me inside the building, even with bribes.  Probably just as well since it is falling down.  Anyway, I took lots of pictures.  The restaurant lady invited me to view Seri Court from the 28th floor of the condo - so I got some bird's eye views.  I suppose, by now, that Seri Court is no more.

Peace,
Larry
